Consuelo Jorge Arquitetos as Architects
The couple requested the integration between the office, kitchen and living room, in order to have the flexibility to work from home, but without losing the feeling of home and the possibility of receiving visitors. Thus, translucent sliding doors were used, allowing spaces to be changed according to the use of each moment.
In addition to these requests, the two daughters asked for a comfortable space to study and put on makeup. Thus, each of the rooms was customized according to the taste, activities and favorite colors of each of the girls.
Despite expectations and requests, the owners gave freedom and openness to the office to develop an authorial project and followed the proposals presented, allowing the development of a project with a strong and differentiated design identity. The concept seeks an environment that can have the introspection and sobriety of moments of work, but the warmth and welcome of a home. Thus, Ash Wood, which gives the project its name, was chosen as the most present material in the apartment. Its gray tone meets the most sober character while the wood creates the desired comfort for a home.
